Course Content
In the course "Modulbasierte Anlagenplanung", the advantages and limitations of modular plants will be presented. For this purpose, modularization approaches in the planning of pharmaceutical/fine chemical plants will be compared with approaches from other industries (e.g. piece goods production).
It is shown how the production scenarios associated with the use of modular equipment can be evaluated in terms of costs.
Finally, the influence that the use of modular equipment has on the planning process is explained.
Aquired Competences
Students will be able to assess whether a module-based approach is suitable for planning process engineering production plants under given conditions.
