Centrifugal Partition Chromatography
Centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) is a liquid chromatography technique that relies on the differing solubilities of a target compound within two phases of an immiscible liquid system. This work investigates and optimizes various example systems, considering hydrodynamic and thermodynamic aspects. The focus is on maximizing productivity and automating operations to enable long-term efficiency. Open questions for investigation include developing a measurement methodology for integral stationary phase retention measurement and establishing a routine for model-based control that depends on substance properties.
