Marc Meier successful at Prototype Competition with the CVSF

We are delighted to announce that Marc Meier has won the TU Dortmund Prototype Competition 2025 organized by CET. Congratulations!

We are delighted to announce that Marc Meier has won the 2025 Prototype Competition organized by CET. A total of ten innovative concepts were each awarded €5,000 in funding.

The money will be invested in process analytical technology (PAT) to enable inline measurements of residual moisture and purity of the powder leaving the Continuous Vacuum Screw Filter (CVSF) towards robust product quality control. The CVSF is a patented and modular apparatus for particle isolation within a continuous crystal process chain for integrated solid-liquid separation, washing and drying of high quality particulate products.

The competition supports the development of innovative technologies that provide added value for the environment and society.  The evaluation criteria include                           

  • Degree of innovation
  • Technical feasibility & prototype maturity (Technology Readiness Level)
  • Social relevance
  • Economic potential
  • Transferability & scalability
