From September 6 to 9, 2026, the 23rd International Symposium on Industrial Crystallization (ISIC) took place in Budapest. The crystallization group contributed three oral presentations and two posters, showcasing its research on crystallization, particle design, and integrated downstream processing.

Lutz Gerkensmeier presented “The Role of Washing Dynamics in the Integrated Process of Suspension Melt Crystallization.” Henrik Bettin gave a talk on “Small-scale continuous antisolvent nucleation for high-quality products in an Archimedes Tube Crystallizer,” while Marc Meier presented “Flexible and reliable particle isolation for next-generation integrated continuous manufacturing.”

The oral presentations were complemented by two poster contributions. Maximilian Kattner presented “Towards particle design in a slug flow crystallizer using model-based control strategies,” and Lukas Seppelfricke showcased “Towards Closed-Loop PET Recycling through Optimized Crystallization.”
