Course Content

A team of 8-10 students have the task to plan a production plant on the basis of a general task. This includes process development and the selection of a production process based on evaluations of the different alternatives, mass- and energy balances, process- and P&ID flowcharts, dimensioning of the main equipment, layout planning and calculations of profitability. The team members have to organize their work on their own. The grouping is
drawn by the responsible person before.
The group reports on their results and the planned future work biweekly. The Group Project ends with final report and presentation. Typically, the group members are allowed to visit an industrial company afterwards in the form of an excursion.

Aquired Comptences

The students can work under real conditions of a project. This includes working to a schedule and making decisions based on limited information. They are able to use knowledge gained during their courses and can provide missing information. Moreover, the students are able to work in a team, manage their own work, present their results and resolve conflicts during the work process.

Exam Weekly and final presentation - 60 min. each

Preliminaries Registration required. (Registration period from July, 15 and until August, 15)
